Italy’s Sesta Terra Luxury Natural Resort chooses Bushtec Safari by Canvas Tents

Set on a cliff of the Cinque Terre National Park along the Italian Riviera, Sesta Terra Natural Resort overlooks the Ligurian sea, and is tucked away just far enough from the hustle and bustle to offer visitors a slice of a peaceful, unspoiled paradise.

Conceived from the desire to offer full immersion into nature while assuring total comfort, the Cosiani family’s affection for this corner of the globe propelled them into spending 18 months building the bespoke resort. The result of the tireless labour of love came to fruition in June 2019 when the family officially opened the resort’s doors. Sesta Terra overwhelms your senses, offering pockets of breathtaking wilderness that interplay harmoniously with luxury tented accommodation.

Nicola Cosiani explains, “We’ve always been enchanted by this slice of heaven and don’t know anyone who could say no to waking up here. We wanted to share the wonders of the silence, sea, and colors with those who long to feel in tune with nature.

Nature drives our mission, and we’ve adapted to the shape and materials of the land. We purposefully chose places with the most suggestive view for our natural accommodations of wood, cloth and stone, all nestled in pine and oak patches, olive groves, vineyards and flowers.”

The Challenges

Due to the steep mountainous location with the ocean below, constructing Sesta Terra was an enormous challenge.  It’s construction required the utmost skill and more than 500 helicopter flights to bring in all the materials, often during intense weather conditions. Thanks to the manufacturing integrity and quality of the Bushtec Safari luxury canvas tents, all the elements were perfectly resisted.

In addition to a collection of Wooden Cottages at Sesta Terra, eight Canvas tents are nestled among holm oaks and olive groves comprising high-end Bushtec Safari bateleur tents manufactured with the finest all-natural fabrics, equipped as 5-star luxury rooms.

Installed by the Bushtec Safari team from Canvas and Tent Europe on behalf of the client. Bushtec Safari is equipped to offer a seamless full turnkey solution spanning design of bespoke tents, interior design, platforms, engineer certification and camp reticulation if required through their Bushtec Creations brand.
